Jackson State Wavee Dave Tee
Embodying sportsmanship, spirit, and a fierce love for JSU, David “Wavee Dave” Chambers served as Jackson State’s costumed mascot from the late ‘80s until his passing in 2006. His legacy reached far beyond the field – he spearheaded the Baby Tigers youth mascot program, encouraging them to excel in school, serve their communities, and maintain a positive attitude. Since Chambers’ passing, a JSU student now assumes the role of Wavee Dave; often, they’re former Baby Tigers or members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
