Kent State Golden Flashes Lightning ’90s Long Sleeve
Kent State planned a spectacle to reveal its new eagle mascot at the 1985 homecoming football game, including commissioning a giant fiberglass egg from the Kent Technology Education Club. From the egg, the first costumed Flash emerged, alongside a live golden eagle of the same name. We put our spin on a vintage design that imagines Flash and his trusty lightning bolt swooping down to the 50-yard line. (For our ornithologists out there, Flash has been illustrated as both a bald eagle and a golden eagle throughout KSU’s history with the mascot.)
