UCF Knights Retro FTU Logo Crewneck
Only two years after Florida Technical University opened its doors for classes, the entire campus community sought to replace the school’s strange mascot, the Citronaut (an orange alien astronaut). Since the Pegasus was already part of the school’s academic iconography, many suggested “Knights of Pegasus” as a nickname. The university adopted the Knight as their mascot in 1970 alongside their first Knight logo, which remained in official use until 1979. Brought to you in partnership with College Vault.
